Privacy Policy

Overview

Trivela ("the app") is a World Cup 2026 companion app for iOS. It is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with FIFA or any official tournament body. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Trivela is designed with privacy in mind. The app works entirely offline, requires no account, and collects no personal information beyond what is described below.

Data we collect

Trivela collects minimal data:

• → Push notification token — Only if you explicitly opt in to receive notifications (e.g. "notify me when Predictions launches"). This token is stored locally on your device and used only to deliver the notifications you requested. It is not linked to your identity and not shared with third parties.
• → App preferences — Your selected favorite teams and notification opt-in choices are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Data we do not collect

• ✓ No account or sign-in is required
• ✓ No analytics or tracking SDKs
• ✓ No advertising identifiers
• ✓ No location data
• ✓ No usage analytics sent to external servers
• ✓ No cookies (this is a native iOS app)

Third-party services

Trivela does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. All content (team data, match schedules, stadium information) is bundled directly in the app and loaded offline.

Push notifications

Push notifications are entirely optional. You will only be asked for permission when you tap a "Notify me" button on a locked feature. If you grant permission, the app may send you a notification when that feature launches. You can withdraw permission at any time in iOS Settings → Trivela → Notifications.

Children's privacy

Trivela is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If the app adds features that affect data collection, this policy will be updated and the "last updated" date will change. Significant changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
